Our Mission:

The mission of the NMVMA is to promote veterinary medicine and quality animal care through communication, fellowship, and professional growth of New Mexico veterinarians.

Our Strategic Objectives:

We speak on behalf of the public, the animals and the veterinarians to:

  • enhance human/animal bonds
  • encourage and enhance lifelong learning and high ethical standards for NM veterinarians
  • promote public safety as it pertains to the practice of veterinary medicine
  • promote responsible legislation and regulation in order to protect the rights and privileges of NM veterinarians
  • assist in the veterinary education of students in and from New Mexico
  • promote the image and value of veterinarians and the veterinary profession to the people of New Mexico

April 5 - Legislation not acted upon by governor is pocket vetoed
